For everyone that posted comments and tries the applet great job tonight. It was nice to see that 20+ of you are giving this a try. Keep it up. Everyone that commented got a couple of points of extra credit. I pick the top three comments and they got double that. I am confident that this will get better and better.
Mr. For the activity that we are doing tomorrow I would like to to explore the applet (little online activity) tonight. It will help you with the in-class activity. We will quickly review it tomorrow but to get the full experience of what it can do take a look at it tonight. I am going to post a link to the applet here in this blog AND on the Google community. If you use the applet and post a comment about how it worked, what you learned, or what you thought of it. Make your comment within the Google Community and you may earn some extra credit. The top post (or all of them if they are good) will receive some (always needed) EXTRA CREDIT!!
So jump over the community, try out the applet, and post some thoughtful remarks to get some E.C. Mr. Hallam Here is the link: http://media.mivu.org/mvu_pd/a4a/resources/applets/2race.html 1. Updated the link for unit 1 blank notes and teacher notes
2. Posted the link to unit 1 homework answers 3. Posted a tutorial and link to the Algebra 1 book answers. Watch the video and find the answers so you have them for all future assignments. 4. Smoothed out the way the E. Cards will work. They are just a button now with the link to the .pdf right in the actual form. Much easier and cleaner. 5. Accepted 55 people to the Google Community. Still nee like 70 of you....uhm...tonight is the last night....better hurry!! That's about it for now Mr. Hallam For everyone that has signed up for Dropbox account, good job. However some of you still have one more step to go. In the 'Getting Started' tab on the left of your account (pictures below) make sure you install Dropbox on your computer. This is the main benefit for having Dropbox. There will be a little blue box in the bottom right of your computer (if on PC...not sure for Mac) that you can double click. This will bring up a folder that you can drag and drop any files you like and it will sync them to be accessed anywhere, even on your phone if you get the app. Additionally I am going to share some video files with you for an activity that we are doing next week and it will be much easier it the files are accessible from you computer rather than the web interface. A Again if you have any questions please use the contact form or email me and I will get back to you ASAP. Thanks Mr. Hallam P.s. use the images below to guide you through the process. Click the file in the lower left corner to start the install. Follow the prompts it's easy!! Good luck!
As of right now I have 45 students that have completed all of the 'Getting Connected' tasked that was asked of them. That leaves roughly 70 of you that still need to complete this tasks by Monday. After Monday you start losing point :(
Have a good rest of the weekend and Go Lions! Mr. Hallam One week down and a whole bunch to go. It's not even worth counting yet. I hope that you have become aclimated to the class and me for that case. Especially the online activity that comes with this class.
Which reminds me, Monday is that day that I expect you to have completed the 'Getting Connected' / syllabus tasks that I asked you to do. There are ton's of videos to help you through and you can always contact me if you have any problems after that. Have a great fir Here we are at the beginning of another year of school....so exciting, right? Summer's over and I'm sure you were getting a little board and anxious to get back into the grind. Well let me welcome you to my class for the first (or second, hopefully not a third ;) time. I don't share to much about myself here except for a few pictures from over the summer (see below). Being your first time here take some time and familiarize yourself with the site. Do some exploring and get comfortable navigating around. If you have any questions you can ask them in class or post them on here. Please use you Google user name if you post on the blog so I know who you are and can reply by email if I need to. Everything you need for the class can be found on this site or our Google community (make sure you check that out to) . Spend some time on the resources page and see what's available...uhum...a TI 83 Calculator for your computer...Ta Da! Anyway enjoy what's left of your summer and I'll see you in a couple of day Trey joins the avengersMaddie's school photoAva making a splash! |
